Atos Worldline, Intertek France and Chinova host  Chinese Market eCommerce Seminar in Paris 12 May

Summary of the Seminar

The Seminar was arranged by Atos Worldline, the number one European PSP with 30.000 Merchants and €20 billion in transaction volume, and Intertek, the worldwide leader in product certifications. Merchants connected to Atos payment platform, SIPS, can use Chinese Bank Card services with China Unionpay from Chinova. This means that well known French brands get access to a formidable online reach of 700 million unique Chinese card holders.

Mr. Jean-François Roche, Director of Business Development in Asia at Atos Worldline was the moderator and together with Intertek had invited their clients in France interested in increasing online sales to Chinese consumers. The purpose of the seminar was to explain the value for merchants with the joint offer of Atos, Intertek and Chinova. Merchants now get the key building blocks, for a secure in-road, to selling online to Chinese consumers. The key message was that China is not further away than Italy, UK or Germany when using these new services to cost effectively secure product compliance, drive traffic,  make online payments and drastically increase sales in the booming online consumer market in China.

It was a well-received seminar with participants from Sarenza, €40M sales of shoes and accessories, WineSize, sales of French Vintage wines, Toys’r’us, €780M sales 2010 and Carrefour with 8,700 stores worldwide. Also there, were BNP Paribas and Societe General, two major French banks with a large Merchant client base, as well as UbiFrance, the partly government funded worldwide organization supporting French export companies. It was a great opportunity for the sales and marketing people of these organizations to meet and plan for the next steps and joint activities.
